Dinner conversation the other night erupted into a debate over legalized marijuana and what it would mean for California.
My argument? California makes more money off of medical marajuana- if legalized, the cost would drop so dramatically, that even with higher taxes, there would be less money coming in.
Alex argued the opposite: If marijuana was legalized, there would be more tourism coming into California- drug related vacations, for the same reason that people go to Amsterdam on vacation. He argued that the Red Light district is the only reason that Americans and young Europeans want to go to Amsterdam, and that he could not think of other reasons to go there.
While drugs and ladies might be a good reason to visit Amsterdam (and this debate never got settled), these pictures made me want to go there simply to ride around the countryside in the snow. How beautiful!
